Terms of service

The terms, in plain words.

Atlas is provided by Esoteria Inc., a Delaware corporation ("esoteria", "we"). These terms cover your use of Atlas and of this website. Where you have signed a separate agreement with us, that agreement wins wherever the two disagree.

What a seat is

A seat is issued to one named person. Atlas builds itself around that person's work, so a seat is not shared, pooled, or passed between colleagues. If someone else needs Atlas, they need their own seat. That is a product constraint before it is a commercial one.

What you connect

You decide what Atlas can read, and you can disconnect it. You confirm you have the right to connect the accounts you connect. A company mailbox is usually your employer's, not yours, and that permission is yours to obtain, not ours.

What you approve

Atlas drafts; you send. Every outbound message, invite, payment and cancellation waits for your explicit yes, and there is no setting that removes that step. After a yes you have a short window to undo it, until it has gone out or the other side has answered. The consequence is simple and worth stating: what you approve is yours. Read drafts before approving them, particularly anything that commits money, makes a promise, or goes to someone who matters.

What Atlas gets wrong

Atlas is built on language models, and language models are confidently wrong sometimes. It can misread a thread, invent a detail, or summarise a meeting in a way its participants would dispute. Every figure Atlas shows carries its source and its math so you can check it; estimates are marked est. Do not treat its output as legal, financial, tax, or medical advice, and verify anything you are about to rely on. We work hard on accuracy and we do not guarantee it.

Fair use

Do not use Atlas to break the law, to send bulk unsolicited mail, to impersonate someone, to harass anyone, or to process data you have no right to hold. We may suspend a seat that is doing any of those, and we will tell you why.

Your content

Everything Atlas reads and writes on your behalf remains yours. We claim no ownership of it and we do not sell it. How it is handled is set out in the privacy policy, which is worth reading in full: it is specific about what reaches a model provider, and about who at esoteria can see your data and when.

Availability

Atlas is early software run for a small number of clients. We do not offer an uptime guarantee. We will tell you before planned downtime and be honest with you during unplanned downtime.

Money

Fees, term, and notice are whatever your agreement with us says. Where no separate agreement exists, Atlas is being provided to you at no charge and either of us can stop at any time.

Ending it

You can leave whenever you like. Ask and we will export everything Atlas holds for you, then delete your profile within 30 days of your seat closing, as the privacy policy sets out. Export before you go if you want a copy: once deleted, it cannot be brought back. We may end a seat for the misuse described above, or with reasonable notice for any other reason.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

If we change these terms materially, we will tell the people using Atlas directly rather than quietly updating this page and hoping you re-read it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and the courts of New York will hear any dispute.
